Here are the results of the Democratic primary election from Thursday, September 6, 2012 (as reported in the Boston Globe):
I was proud to have participated in this race with my worthy opponent Peter Padula. Peter was tenacious and put everything into this campaign. He kept us on our toes at all times and made us work hard too. It was great to see the high level of civic engagement that we had during this race (culminating in the swarm of activities at the polls as shown in the photo below).
Peter and his campaign volunteers were diplomatic and engaging and helped us achieve a civilized debate focused on the issues at stake for the residents of Franklin and Medway. It was an honor to have Peter on the other side of this race, and the tone and tenor of the campaign made us both better candidates. I look forward to working with him through November and beyond on behalf of the residents in the 10th Norfolk District.
